what are your top 3 best items from your other collections

Post by arohk on Mon Jul 18, 2016 5:17 am

We all collect and love star wars but this is for only non star wars. What are your top 3 pieces from other collections you have.

Know I had to think about this for a bit trying to come up with my 3 fav items from my other collections is not easy.

I have a few different things I collect from edged weapons, chess sets, NASA/Space related items, BSG and odds and ends stuff so picking only 3 was not easy at all. But I did finally settle for these.

1st is my Katana sword this is one I had made and picked all the parts out myself it's a folded carbon steel blade with a ray skin wrapped handle with a dragon cross guard the inscription on the blade is my family motto in gaelic meaning "Touch not the cat bot a glove"  which basically means other clans should think twice before interfering with our clan business Smile.

2nd would be my Franklin Mint Enterprise this was the first major item I bought as you can see there is lots of detail with this thing including the shuttle in the landing bay.

And last my Egyption chess set this one I got from my friend it's very well made and all metal pieces it was a toss up between this and my Incan one.

Man that Egyptian chess set is hedonistic lol I once saw an avp one that looked similar lol it was styled like that pyramid in the 2004 movie, so rediculous and awesome.

Your's is a bit more timeless I think lol

I was a huge misfits/samhain collector . for those that don't know they were glenn danzigs first 2 punk bands . theyre stuff is quite rare and I have many many items from both of these great bands , every press of every record , tons of posters flyers etc .... I have tons of tattoos from both bands as well... anyways this collection took many years of working tons of overtime to aquire and while I don't actively collect anymore this stuff will always mean a great deal to me and is actually in my will as much of it these days is almost irreplaceable .you guys think the star wars world is cut throat ???  lol!  people are just ridiculous with this stuff now and I am very glad the only things I need are 4000$ items and up really and I just will not spend that kinda money anymore ANYWAYS Rolling Eyes  sorry for the rant but

my 3 favorite items in my misfits collection

not really one item but I consider it 1
what really started it all for them -a complete set of original presses of the eps ... some are very rare as only 500 of some were pressed in 77 78

#2
an original ritz poster from 1981 hand silkscreened by the band very rare less than 20 are known to exist today

#3
what is known in the misfits world as a target poster from 1978 . even though this one is quite small and mine has a piece missing from it all misfits items from the 70s are VERY rare
and this is no exception , the image of kennedy getting shot has always been one of my favorites ever . less than 25 of these babies are in known private collections , also silkscreened by the band ... COOL
