Mother Nature's fault Empty Mother Nature's fault

Post by arohk Sun Jun 23, 2019 11:35 pm

I finally got around to sharing this story that happened about a year ago and is one of those well shit moments. The figure was originally sealed on it's card, that was until Mother Nature stepped in one night. I had just gotten a new display cabinet and had most of my carded figure's and diecast vehicle's in it, a few night's later I woke to a crash when I went to see what it was I noticed book's had fallen off the shelves in the upstairs hallway, and the photos on the wall's were out of place. At that point I realized we had a small tremor again. Well the next morning I came down stairs to find a few thing's knocked over I soon realized the crash was not from the book's upstairs but from the cabinet in the living room, all the glass shelves fell causing everything to drop. The carded figure's were on the top and they looked OK aside from the Han the card was their but due to the brittleness of the bubble the figure shot clean through the bottom the blaster was just hanging by the old tape.  So I figured I would tag him and bag him, But it really felt cool holding and smelling all the 80's goodness for the first time again lol.

So now he is one of my cleanest figure's I have.

Thanks for sharing the story Larry. It's definitely one of the more interesting ways of removing a figure from a card.
