Paul Armory's Limelight Empty Paul Armory's Limelight

Post by Paul Armory Sun Jan 31, 2016 10:33 am

Hey all. So I've snapped some pics, uploaded to photo bucket, deleted crappy ones and will now attempt to put them in this post. All organized like Wink I wanted the pics a little smaller to not have the thread so long. Hope it doesn't bore anyone and if it does thefinger  Laughing

There are just so, so, so many various vintage items and toys that when I do something like this I am reminded of that fact. My goal would never be to "have it all". To me that type of thinking is just outrageous but for those that may think that way then I wish you luck and hopefully you can achieve that goal and maintain a healthy life and family Laughing

Keep in mind too; the more you have then the more display area you need or storage (as so many of us know). I have things in storage and it pains me to do so as I like to display what I have  Sad

Keep in mind that not ALL display community members are always happy and I have to defuse a situation here and there duel

This display cabinet is more or less dedicated to Hoth. I display my loose die cast here as well. The Topps wrappers you see is a C7 pick up and figured I'd stick them on the door

The next 2 cabinets hold Darth Vader, Early bird display, Glasslite loose figures, R2D2's, C3PO's, Leia's,DT Luke, a few Jawas and a little love for Yoda and Dagobah

The next display cabinet is for ANH, ESB & ROTJ

The next display cabinet is for my loose collection (I LOVE MY LOOSE COLLECTION) to include ships, die cast, moc's and carry cases (remember earlier I mentioned things in storage)  Laughing variant cases are some things that are stored away

Thanks guys.

clapping  Thank you very much! Man it would have been so much easier to edit with smaller pics. I'm usually just happy I can at least get things uploaded. If it's something I could have done please let me know how so any future pics I add on any thread will not be King Kong ones Smile

Paul, you have an amazing collection.......I could easily spend a week in that room without having a dull moment! clapping clapping clapping
Fantastic stuff, and thanks for taking the efforts to make so many pics and share them with us! Very Happy

I like the stickers of the different brands (Palitoy, Lili Ledy, etc.) on your glass cabinet doors, your small R2D2 focus (Glasslite MOCs for the normal and Droids version! Nice), the many small diorama displays.
Being dutch those vintage adverts from the Donald Duck magazines brought back good old memories. it was thanks to these great adverts, that I was drawn into collecting Star Wars when I was 10 years old.

Cheers

Unfortunately Clipper items are rare items here in The Netherlands as well, almost 4 decades after their release. But I will keep an eye open for you.
Please feel free to drop me a PM if you are in the neighborhood, so we can organize something.

Remarkable collection, I love the way you've sorted things by character and film rather than toy line. bowwing
