WATCH OUT: Northmen Collectibles in Toronto.

I strongly advise against anyone doing any sort of business with Northmen Collectibles in Toronto. The owner (one man show) is insane. He has absolutely no customer service skills, fly's off the handle on a whim and has no ability manage his cluttered little office/store. Expect lengthy delays and extremely rude service. Plus, good luck getting a refund if he decides he doesn't feel like shipping you something. Avoid like the plague!

Thanks for the warning. I've never dealt with him. Is he selling on Ebay or does he have a physical store?

He has a website that has potential and can lure you into thinking it could be a great place to shop. It's a trap!!! (*Ackbar Emoji*) He has a tiny little office/store that is an absolute disaster zone and he seems to spend most of his time typing furiously and arguing on the phone. I made the mistake of ordering from him online late last year. No communication for almost 6 months. when I inquired about the status of my orders, he goes on a rant blaming Hasbro, me, customers, etc... After numerous emails, he finally sent part of the orders. He refuses to refund me for what he did not ship. Joy!

Interesting, he's pretty close to me but I don't think I've ever come across the name.

On an interesting side note, I was warned about this guy by a local collectibles store yesterday. I was told that in the past he copied a photo of a large MOC find from eBay and posted it on his FB just to make it look like he had a huge find lol to pump up his FB page.

Update: I opened a PayPal claim against him and won. I got refunded for what he owed me. However, I've had to block his email. He keeps sending me ranting harassing letters. I don't reply. As I've read elsewhere, this guy is a thug!

I came across this place before, I was warned as well about it. Sorry you got screwed you can put a complaint and contact the BBB. As you can see in the link he's already on there.

I've used these guys plenty of times for orders and haven't had any issues. It sucks how badly the distribution is for the Star Wars stuff but tbh I mostly buy NECA and Mezco from him so maybe I just haven't experienced the kinds of delays this dude did. I've been lurking on this forum for a while but man I stumbled on this and the just sheer hate spewed by this guy towards the store is so different from the experience I've had that I needed to make an account just to reply. I have other friends in Toronto that buy from him too and while they don't really collect star wars stuff they all seem to have had positive experiences as well.

The weird flex by the local store accusing them of posting a MOC lot from ebay is concerning though. Why would a store do that? Seems odd. If they actually did that it would make me think twice about them. It's a skeevy tactic. Did you ever bother to look at their facebook page? I follow them on there and never saw anything like that posted but it's possible I missed it. Maybe you can try emailing them to see what they say? I'll let him know the next time I stop in there and see what he says.
