GENERAL MILLS CEREAL TRADING CARDS

Star Wars General Mills Cereal Trading Cards and Official Card Case

1978 Twentieth Century-Fox Film Corp. American Premium Corp.

[700][You must be registered and logged in to see this link.][/700]

There were 18 cards in this set , although "cards" is a very liberal way to describe them . They were printed on a slightly thick piece of paper (about the thickness of construction paper) and are much thinner and flimsier then a standard trading card that is printed on card stock . The cards were available in boxes of Big G cereals .

Actual Card Size : 3 1/4 " x  4 1/2 "

Cards # 1 - 6  :

[500][You must be registered and logged in to see this link.][/500]

[400][You must be registered and logged in to see this link.][/400]

Cards # 13 - 18  :

[500][You must be registered and logged in to see this link.][/500]

[400][You must be registered and logged in to see this link.][/400]

There was also a special Card Case for this card set that was available via a Mail In Offer :

[300][You must be registered and logged in to see this link.][/300]

Inside :

[500][You must be registered and logged in to see this link.][/500]

[500][You must be registered and logged in to see this link.][/500]

There were only 8 pockets so it really didn't properly contain the 18 card set  What a Face

[600][You must be registered and logged in to see this link.][/600]

[400][You must be registered and logged in to see this link.][/400]

I have also found a interesting error or variation of the Darth Vader Card  scratch

[500][You must be registered and logged in to see this link.][/500]

[300][You must be registered and logged in to see this link.][/300]

Looks like perhaps a couple colors are missing from the card on the right and it also has darker blue print on the back . The lighter blue back card on the left matches the color of the rest of the cards in the set that is pictured here .

Love all of these cards! Used to love collecting these as a kid. Can only remember the Scanlan made ROTJ ones though.

I've been thinking of collecting these again but haven't gotten around to it. Though when Alex sent the Tantive Traveller last month he also threw in a whole bunch of Luke related trading cards for me! Very generous and the timing was perfect!
