Very empathetic film about the need to not treat fellow human beings like crap.

Joker was really good.  I just saw it for the first time about a week ago. Shows the need for good mental health services.

While working on some forum stuff, yesterday afternoon.  I put on this Netflix show called October Faction.  I never heard anything about it before.
While watching the first couple of episodes, I started to notice landmarks, buildings, & business that looked familiar.
Sure enough, it was filmed here in Cambridge, ON.
The arched bridges will look familiar to those that watch The Handmaids Tail.
DiPietro's meat, grocery, bakery & delicatessen, is well know in the area.
I'm trying to figure out the other filming locations.

Right now I'm just watching Curb as it airs, Clone Wars, and working my way through the Blu-Ray "Man with No Name" Trilogy, featuring Fist Full of Dollars, A Few Dollars More, and The Good, The Bad and the Ugly. I've seen them all before but it's been years and might as well have been never when you consider the blu-ray factor.

Yes, but it took me a couple of weeks to get thru the 8 episodes.

What a better time than now to recommend stuff for viewing during lockdowns

My wife and I are big fans of British television in general but we recently were introduced to a whole slew of new stuff to us . It actually started with the Great British Bakeoff - my wife loves cooking shows in general but there's not many I will watch with her . I'll watch anything with Gordon Ramsey but prefer the shows where he yells at everyone a lot and calls them donkeys   .  I do like the British Bakeoff and while we were watching the run on Netflix we were introduced to Noel Fielding as one of their newer hosts . We thought he was funny and started looking for stuff he was in - the 1st thing we found was "The IT Crowd" on Netflix - it has to be one of the funniest shows we have ever seen and we've watched it several times already and still laugh every time .

The best part of it was we were introduced to Richard Ayoade who plays Maurice Moss . Julie and I have come to the conclusion that he may be the funniest person on Earth



We found several series on YouTube that can be watched for free with him in them :

Man to Man with Dean Learner
Travel Man

He is also in a bunch of episodes of The Big Fat Quiz Show ( and so is Noel Fielding) .

The same group of guys seem to be in almost all the shows - and another one of our favorites is The Mighty Boosh .



I'm sure most of you guys are already lucky enough to be aware of these shows but keep in mind that Julie and I live in a ass backwards state in the middle of nowhere so we don't get the exposure to non US television we wish we could

I haven't seen either of them.  Tales from the Loop looks interesting. Unfortunately I don't have amazon prime.
I'm currently watching season 4 of The Last Kingdom.

I would assume that , since you are from the UK , you are well familiar with the show . Noel Fielding is a huge Zappa fan

This is going to be juvenile entertainment but I will thoroughly enjoy it lol but it's not out for a couple months.

Also I just watched the new Unsolved Mysteries on Netflix, 6 episodes, no host this time. The first episode and the 5th (the Alien one) were my favourite. Some of the stories seem a little longer than needed but overall I would recommend.

Yep, Yellowstone is pretty good. Right now I've been watching the Sopranos for the first time lol I caught a couple episodes here and there while it was on tv but not enough to follow the story. It has aged really well, it feels like it just came out rather than being 20 years old.

Mate The Sopranos is incredible. Pretty much the first show that got me into tv series.

I've been hearing good things about Devil's Gate (2017) apparently its on Netflix in the US but I can't rent it online anywhere here in Canada as far as I can tell. Supposed to be a decent Sci-fi/horror.

The movie of What we do in the shadows is very funny. I liked that a lot. I really like Taika Waititi both as an actor (voice mainly) and as a director. Haven't had a chance to watch the tv show yet though. I've not heard of Devils gate, but will look out for it in the future. I've recently finished watching all five seasons of 'The Expanse'. Which I thoroughly recommend, if you're into Sci-fi. This guy's review of it, sums it up very nicely, without giving away any spoilers.

we found it on Tubi . I have no idea if Tubi is available to stream in all countries but it is one of our favorites - its free and seems to have a lot less commercials then any other free streaming channels we have tried .

Lots of great shows and movies in this thread, i've been watching a show on amazon a toy shop near you, covering toy shops across the world that sell vintage and modern toys, they have done 3 seasons so far, worth a watch if you can find it
