SCI-FI SCARBOROUGH 2016

Well folks, it's slowly creeping closer so thought that I would start a thread again and see if anyone is coming up to sunny Scarborough in April to the Sci-Fi event which is basically a backdrop for a week end of alcohol and good old fashioned Star Wars vintage talk!

As much as I would like to attend, I don't think I will be able to make it Alex. If circumstances change I will let you know.

I really hope that some of our members can attend, as based on the reports I saw from last year, they will be in for a great time.

Hell, I think I have recovered enough from the last Scarborough event by now to be able to join the next one in April.

Mate I'm more than likely coming. I have a mate visiting from Sydney around then and just have to work out the exact dates.

Great vid Chris, Alex kindly said I was welcome to crash at his place and if I hadn't had my knee op on the 6th April I would love to have met you guys, on a positive note Sci Fi Scarborough looks to be a yearly event, so all being well next year

Thanks for posting your pictures. It looks like you guys had a great time. Hopefully one day, I make it to one of the big events over in the UK and meet up with you, Christian & Alex. Or if I'm really lucky, they will have a Celebration in Toronto and you guys can visit me.

That Darth Vader and Stormie beach shot is fantastic! Shame I missed it.

Guys we did party a bit but it didn't get too crazy. Chris and I were pumped to kick on at about 2am on one of the nights but Grandad Kahn was falling asleep at the club. Fair enough though, he'd had a beer in his hand non-stop since midday. You know how he always seems drunk in his forum posts and FB posts? Well that's because he is always drunk.

The first night we arrived there I was pretty exhausted and just wanted to sleep. At 2am Chris and Alex were still talking about variants until I dropped hints that it was time to sleep. I stumbled out of bed and into the kitchen at 8am and they were both talking about variants again. Hardcore...

Thanks guys, yeah we had a blast! Lots of beer, bad food, very little sleep and lots of talkin shit about Star Wars  

Oh and I could't walk past this place without gettin Al to take a pic. Its not every day that you see your name up in lights

This year was another weekend of beer and Star Wars! It was great to finally meet Christian (he's not as handsome in real life, kinda looks a bit weathered) and was great to meet up with Chris again.

What kind of stuff did you guys manage to bring for display? Did you get a lot of people stopping by and checking out the display?

Hey we did get quite a lot of people stopping by to check out the figs. I was quite surprised how interested people were. A lot of dudes reminiscence about their younger days of collecting and wanting a bit of a chat. Was a really good experience.

Next time we need to organise a Tantive XI banner.

A few beers (well more than a few   ) and some hardcore variant chat Now that's what I'm talking about
I have learnt loads about Star Wars vintage from my mates on the forums and it's a pleasure, I thank you all
