Vintage Star Wars Moderator Roundtable: Forums and the Future Empty Vintage Star Wars Moderator Roundtable: Forums and the Future

Post by ChristianC Sat Mar 18, 2017 10:32 am

Hi guys, just posted this monster-sized round table discussion on the VSWC Blog. This is the first time that the owners and/or moderators of the four main English speaking vintage Star Wars forums have come together to discuss the future of the forums.

We were lucky enough to host Edd Grant - owner/moderator of SWFUK, Johnpaul Ragusa - owner/moderator of TIG, Ian Cowley - joint owner/moderator of Tantive XI and Thomas Garvey - moderator on RS.

Are the forums are dead? Can the forums and Facebook walk hand-in-hand into the future or will another platform pop up and skittle the current setup? These are some of the questions we'll be asking two forum owners and two moderators today.
Thanks for tuning in!

I'm honestly blown away by the intelligence of these guys and the commitment they have the future our hobby. Hope you all enjoy as much as I did.

Great blog post Christian, very funny how Ian is pretty much like "stay current and have social media integration" in many answers. So efficient and true.

Just the ease of the photo uploads here compared to some other forums was enough for me to know where to be.

I forgot to say thanks for making another great interview. cheers   It was very interesting to hear the different views and opinions on some of the issues that face the forums at the moment.
