Okay - here's another point of view on this thread ...

Personal Bonehead Moves banghead2

I started collecting figures when I was 7 or 8 years old and played with them up until I was about 12 . I kept collecting the figures for at least a couple more years and that's where my bonehead move came in cheeky

I also collected comics and had always heard about the horrors of acids in paper ruining comics and other collectables so , in a moment of brilliance , I decided that the Star Wars cardboard packages would eventually ruin my beloved figures .

My solution - I opened all figures I bought right away , put them in zip lock bags and then straight into a shoebox eek

The package was promptly tossed into the trash st00pid

So anyone else have stories of Star Wars collecting / selling moments that they regret now ?

I loved the vintage Star Wars figures from when I first seen them in 1978 scratch

By the time I was 13 It was girls and football for me, and collecting little plastic figures was not considered cool(among my group of friends anyway) so even though I still really liked them I let my parents take them to car boot sales ect, and give them away for next to nothing

When I grew up and looked back a few years later it was a really big lesson for me,
Don't be influenced by the crowd, be your own man, if you like something stand up and pursue that hobby, if others don't like it or tease you for it, fuck them gkhan

I'm sad I don't have any of my childhood figures but some great memories of epic battles cheers
