Re: Show me your Gimcrack
I knew you had a full set mate but not all those, very cool James
I think they are great especially the yellow crab Stormie
I'll look at the back of mine in good light it's hard to see the markings

Re: Show me your Gimcrack
I picked up my 3 sets from Joe Y a few years ago . I know at the time he had a lot of them so I got mine for cheap
He's notoriously hard to track down but you might still be able to buy them if you can locate Joe

I thought I remembered seeing a lot of those in circulation at one point.

Re: Show me your Gimcrack
It’s crazy how you can even tell on the R2 that it’s molded from the Kenner head.
Those are great! You just can’t help but wonder what they were thinking at the time.

Re: Show me your Gimcrack
Thanks guys , glad you like them
My guess is that they were done by a 10 to 15 year old kid - there too good to have been done by a young child and not quite good enough to have been done by a adult

Re: Show me your Gimcrack
I could use some help identifying this little 2 1/4 " x 4 " booklet ...
[400][You must be registered and logged in to see this image.][/400]
it was in with a lot of misc paperwork I purchased recently and I can't seem to find any info on it
my guess is that it may have came with some other product or toy - maybe even a promotional / give away type item

Re: Show me your Gimcrack
Let me look around. At first it looked like the cover of a cassette tape, but your piece is too big to fit in a cassette tape case.

I think that I have that cassette somewhere. I'll see if I can find it, and check to see if the mini photo album is with mine.

Re: Show me your Gimcrack
Thanks Andy. It looked familiar, but I thought it would be to big for a cassette as well. I should have measure the TVR "it came from the loft" tape sitting beside me first.

Picked up this oddity from a seller in the UK ...

I am sure it's unlicensed but I have no idea when it was made . It's child size , made of rubber and marked Made In China .
I liked it because it looks like a Gimp mask to me

Re: Show me your Gimcrack
James, that's fantastic.
I had a quick look thru some books, internet searches and the SWCA and can't find any information? Hopefully someone can shed some light on the mask.

I think the symbol above the "made in china" will be the key, to who made it. I still haven't made it down to the local costume shop, to ask about the Canadian Norben costumes. So I'll ask about this one as well.
