Re: Noob Collection
I'm feeling it. I'm getting the potf stuff from a local collector. Most of them are not perfect but the prices are so much better than anything I'd be paying on eBay and this way I can pick it up and take a closer look before I pay.

Yup, because he's not in the Ralph McQuarrie painting. That's my excuse and in sticking to it. You really lose composition when group shots get too large, with figures or people lol

Re: Noob Collection
Yeah I really never thought I would get into the vehicles either, (besides the Slave 1, that was one of my first vintage Kenner items) it just got to the point where I've got most of the loose figures and a few moc's. Kinda tapped out all the local public sources, so I've jumped on a few items as they showed up locally.
Here's a close up of two equally cool moc's lol

Here's that Nien Nunb which may have been mailed out by Kenner Canada. (A remote possibility according to Clint)

Re: Noob Collection
Nice ones Chris.
That Nunb looks like it has been folded. You didn't get it sent via my sister-in-law did you?

Re: Noob Collection
That's one way of putting it lol although I would have been tense the whole time not knowing about the case/packaging situation.
But given that they are doing you a favour and are outsiders to the hobby it's excusable lol
That Nien Nunb on the other hand, had a thumb tack pushed through the punch lol this year, by a comic book store..... Oh the humanity
Also, here's my new Yak & Falcon:

Re: Noob Collection
Reorganizing my home office today and adding a new cabinet for the figures. Took these guys off the shelf to keep them safe from the cat till the new cabinet is built. Since what I've got of the last 17 doesn't quite fill a shelf, I've got some customs, droids figures and variants to fill it out, resulting in this motley crew

Re: Noob Collection
The general ubsurdity of that group of figures in a box just needed to be documented
Re: Noob Collection
I've got to post this here as I'm spamming the "latest acquisitions"

This is a 12B and there is a considerable bubble crack, but the price just seemed so low that I had to move on it.

Damn Chris
You can take the "noob" off the thread title now
You got a grey background yet ? I see lots of items we need pics of for our libraries but I'm most interested in the oola section items the most
Those Canadian Micro collection items are something I'll never have to photograph for the library

I'll have to remember to give Chris some of the extra grey background pieces that I have. The next time he stops by my place for a visit.
The picture doesn't do the room justice.
