What's your Holy Grail?
What's the vintage toy you've been looking for for ages? The toy you are dreaming to add to your collection, the toy you'd sell a kidney for or you'd trade your wife for
It doesn't have to be a matter of price, maybe of luck or an item that you missed the chance to get several times.

Re: What's your Holy Grail?
I think mine would be a POTF Yak Face cardback. I don't need the MOC, just the cardback, for my collection of Canadian items.

Re: What's your Holy Grail?
I have had two of mine in my possession, the DT Vader and carded POTF Yak. I hated having to sell both, and wish I could have them back.
However, I think my true grail piece would be an authentic MOC Vlix from the Droids line. A DT Ben would be easier...

Re: What's your Holy Grail?
For a long time this was my holy grail until I got it as a present from a childhood friend in 2014. But it was the story around this holy grail and the longtime searching what actually made it an holy grail. Today there are still a lot of Figures I really would like to own, but to call these an holy grail...... ? Don't know

Re: What's your Holy Grail?
The craziest thing I'm looking at might be a ROTJ alternate photo Boba Fett moc, can't imagine myself paying any more than $700-1,000 for a Fett moc, and that one is the cheapest they come. That being said I'm gonna spend a lot more than that wrapping up the last 17 loose.
I've been eyeing a few ROTJ Fetts on eBay but all the ones in the $800 zone are usually mangled bubbles.

Very nice Alien. Ive been seeing this 3 pack (obviously styled like a kenner star wars 3 pack) of "Re-Action" Alien figures made by Funko, its the crew of the Nostromo when they head out in space suits, seems to go for $50-80 even though its new.
Re: What's your Holy Grail?
Very cool alien James
I have many, many vintage Star Wars grail items on my list, most of which will never happen, however this year I hope to add this guy

That remains one of the few toys from my childhood I badly want but have yet to get. Two years ago, I FINALLY managed to get this bad boy, after nearly 40 years of obsessing.

Re: What's your Holy Grail?
Mine is a basic one, luke x wing on any cardback, first card I ever opened as a kid, boring but I never seem to have the spare funds when one comes up, love the figure and the cardart.
I would also like a blue snag and a VCJ while i'm dreaming

Re: What's your Holy Grail?
Man posting in this thread is dangerous lol I have a palitoy ROTJ Boba Fett within a couple weeks of saying I wanted one here lol local sale good price too. Thanks to Clint for pointing it out.
Here it is, since Jared of Star Wars tracker pointed out that its one of the cards associated with the Toy Toni scandal, (when describing the lack of recent sales on it) Ive posted it with a bunch of pics in the "Bothan Spy Net" section. If you know a lot about these please chime in. I knew the 101 on what to look for when I bought it but its hard to be sure.

Hey Chris,
A guy called Jason (Mr Palitoy) is who I would say ask for identifying Toy Toni's, does anyone know how Chris could contact him

Re: What's your Holy Grail?
Nice call Andy but that is exactly what played out following that post. I showed it in an existing thread about possible "Toy Toni's" over on Star Wars Forum UK and Jason gave it the seal of approval. Couldn't be happier.
I actually just got a bit freaked out when Jared of Star Wars tracker mentioned that the Toy Toni scandal is probably why I couldn't find any known recent sales of this Boba moc.
According to Jason, Toni never had this card back and the bubble and seal looked correct to him as well.
So once again, triple thanks to Clint for pointing it out when he did, saved a couple hundred dollars easily from what it would cost on ebay with shipping and fees.

Hi Chris,
Glad you got piece of mind about your MOC Bobafett. No one better than Jason to give a verdict that's for sure.
Cheers, Jared.

Re: What's your Holy Grail?
Yeah I must admit that I'm ignorant of his bonafides but with the way everyone seems to agree that he's the authority on Palitoy, I should probably print the page from SWFUK where he gave it the pass lol and keep it with the figure.
