DIA: Star Wars "Power of the Costume" Exhibit
Finally made it to the DIA to see the "Power of the Costume" Star Wars exhibit. The exhibit was awesome, I really appreciated the original concept art that was sprinkled throughout. Here are some highlights of the visit... including the beautiful Diego Rivera! Enjoy!

Mike, that looks like a fantastic exhibit to go see. I love the mix of costumes and sketches. Would some of the outfits be on loan by collectors?

Thanks for the comments Clint.
I'm not entirely sure... I would think so, but there wasn't any private collector acknowledgements throughout the exhibit.
I know that Gus Lopez owns a Leia Slave Girl costume. Not sure if that's his (the tour did start in Seattle) or if there was more than one on-screen costume used during production. Off the top of my head, the on-screen Fett/Han Solo stuff was all from Return of the Jedi... Leia's Princess costume was from the final scene of Empire Strikes Back.

Re: DIA: Star Wars "Power of the Costume" Exhibit
I saw this exhibit when it was at “Discovery Times Square” in New York, many of the displays look the same, others are arranged slightly differently. That was the same time when I started collecting vintage so it stands out quite a bit in my mind. Such a great experience.
My memory talking to the staff was that they made it sound like all the items were Lucasfilm owner, a handful were not screen used but were made for the production. The Slave Leia costume for example, there were at least 2 “hero “ versions of that which made it to set, probably more that didn’t.
