very sad news, I know my childhood reading was largely due to his work, and through to adulthood he was always there, may he rest in peace

It’s sad, but he really lived a charmed existence during his last several years. Being in relatively good health ‘till 95, and interacting with your fans all over the world, doesn’t get much better than that.
I just barely made it into his panel at fan expo (2016 I think) and he was advertising it as his last Canadian appearance. He presented well for a man who was 73.... 20 years prior
. It’s the end of an era but he had a large, positive impact on a lot of lives.

Massively sad day. Like Chris said though, what a life he did live.
I didn't get to meet him but I did see him at NYCC in 2016. Also had a comic signed by him a couple of years ago.
