SCI-FI SCARBOROUGH 2015

I grew up watching Gerry Anderson programs with my Grandad, so to see the amazing display of all the puppets was awesome! Especially the Captain Scarlet stuuff, he was always my favourite
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
I like Droids
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
I really like Droids
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
I really, really like Droids!!!
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Not sure about this one though, looks a bit gay!
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Femi Taylor!!!!! Marco was quite convinced that Femi Taylor (Oola) was infact in love with him, this is inaccurate though, it was obvious that she much preferred me, I mean, just look at the way she's totally checking me out! They say a picture says a thousand words, well this picture says 'Oola thinks I'm more awesome than I think I am..... which is a lot'
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
And Oola wasn't the only one after a piece!
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
A particularly hot Leia Slave Girl indeed, with a very hot Femi Taylor!
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Her boyfriends a right ugly fat bastard though!
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Here's our team on the day, Chris, Stef,
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
And here is our display cabinet, This contained a full Kenner run with a couple of variations thrown in, a full set of Ewoks & Droids figures brought by Stef including Vlix of course! A collection of rare Darth Vader variations brought by Chris which included, Glasslite, Taiwan only, Lili Ledy, Top Toys and a Takara thrown in by Stef. Marco provided an amazing set of Lili Ledy VHTF variants, a Jawa, 1978 R2, Burgundy Bib & Squid and an RR Fett which was stood next to my RR Tri-Logo Fett, making this the only place on Earth you could see the two together! I also brought the Luke Bespin collection along and some Mexican Bootlegs
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
And a few famous faces, me and Marco got to meet David 'Darth Vader' Prowse
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
I also got to meet Paul Blake (Greedo) I noticed that he was actually slyly giving me the finger!!!!
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
I am impressed by Paul's hand gesture!
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Final I came up with the highly original idea of shooting him, something I imagine I'm probably the first person to suggest this to him. I was originally planning to have this picture taken with my vintage Han Solo blaster I bought from Clint solely for the purpose of this picture, but like a daft twat, I forgot to bring it
Paul was a top bloke and promised he would spend the tenner I paid for the pics on Alcohol
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Captain Ant! (Self proclaimed Captain) This is the guy who made the giant Darth Vader cake, he modelled his image based loosely on me I think
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
I got to hold a few figures that I never thought I would get chance to hold which was nice, I'm still suprised that Stef and Marco haven't realised that they now own repros
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
The General got to meet another General..... ZOD!!!
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
And me and Marco flirted with Super Girl
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
I got to meet David Graham as well who did the voice of Parker & Brains in Thunderbirds which was nice
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
We also met Danny John Jules (Cat from Red Dwarf) Although Marco had no idea who he was haha
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
And the team again!
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
And for James.......
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Until next time.........

Still in Denmark, just prior to our journey to the Scarborough Sci-Fi Convention

The morning after the night before......sorry a bit out of focus, can't blame the camera this time.

Some dude with beard sorting out his figures on that same morning....

9:00 AM: Walking to the convention hotel enjoying Yorkshire's morning sunshine ..

Our glass cabinet loaded with 1) complete Kenner run + Luke Bespin focus (Alex), 2) complete Droids + Ewoks collection (Stef), 3) Darth Vader focus (Chris), 4) Ledy figures (Marco).

Some of us taking collecting too seriously while worshipping their holy collections.

Geoff, Stef and Chris around our collector table. Geoff brought his impressive cardback collection and Palitoy Death Star.

Unique shot: Ledy RR rocket Fett with his Trilogo brother.

Outside view, the convention site was a pretty Victorian style hotel at the Yorkshire coast.

Geek quiz on Satarday night. Still wondering those were repro.

Some impressions from the convention...

Some dude posing with cosplay babe..
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
I enjoyed the convention very much , the relaxed atmosphere, the cosplay girls, seeing David Prowse and Oola, but most of all it was great meeting Alex, Chris, Stef, Geoff, Laura, and many friends of Alex in real life and having lots of fun.
It was a blast. Sure I will join next year as well.
Cheers
Marco

Excellent pictures Alex.
It was nice to see the Rebel Trooper make a few appearances. Any boob shots with Oola?
It looks like everyone was having a great time.

Re: SCI-FI SCARBOROUGH 2015
Forgot to post the autographs I got! I definately wanted David Prowse because I used to have it as a child and no longer do, so needed to get that back! Also, I have James Earl Jones's so thought it would be nice
I also got David Graham's as well because he only wanted a fiver and I just thought it would be nice and I am a huge fan, and wanted to take something home that was Gerry Anderson related

Spock Tribute
Finally got round to uploading this! I was given the amazing chance to make a Leonard Nimoy tribute for the Sci-Fi Scarborough convention that would be played on the big screen above the stage in the grand hall! Quite a daunting task! 50 hours of work went into the 4 minute film I created, something I'm very proud of
After it had finished the orchestra played the Star Trek main theme from the original series.
I know not everyone is on Facebook, so some won't have seen this After it had finished the orchestra played the Star Trek main theme from the original series.
