Anyone else see Rogue One yet?

What amazes me is the difference a year makes.

I was virtually ostracized from the community over a year ago for my TFA views. Especially on RS and SWFUK. It ended up with me getting banned on RS, and lost a few FB friends over it.

A year later, after I went on (sometimes too much) about how time would not be kind to TFA and it would eventually be seen the way many see the PT, sure enough, Rogue One comes out, and now the anti-TFA posts are spreading. A poll on SWFUK showed something like 75% of the members preferred Rogue One (many from the same people who touted TFA as the best SW movie ever a year previous). Comments on its quality and originality are getting stronger, while the pure vehemence critics like me used to get are now barely even commented on.

Don't get me wrong. I know there's still a LOT of diehard supporters of it, and I'm fine with them. I never once intended to take anyone's enjoyment of it away. I just refused to participate in the JJ gloryhole.

Episode 7 main quality was to be the first Star Wars movie after 10 years, and that's certainly not enough to make a great movie. Now I can't talk before seeing it, but if episode 8 is a direct sequel to TFA following the very same direction and "tone", I think it will be welcomed a lot less positively. I think Lucasfilm knows it, but will they do something about it though? For Disney TFA is a better movie than Rogue One since they only look at the box office and it made 5 times more money.

Yeah, sadly no deleted scenes even though there are plenty shown just in the trailers. Might wait for the next release. Lol I say that now.
