Re: Poncho's Customs (updated october 2018)
terak day one.
found a bottle in the inlaws recyling which may help with some armour plating...maybe
also narrowed down a base vintage figure to modify work experiment with it was toss up between nikto klaatu and squidhead. i decided on squid head luckily i have a beater with a duff hand which will do nicely.

Set it aside for a few days. Regroup, and then return to it. I find that when you come back to it. You have new ideas.

Re: Poncho's Customs (updated october 2018)
Can't wait to see it, Chris! (But take your time. ) There are a lot of details on the head of that guy which will cause someone to recognize him.
As for the body, I'd just focus on the 2 or 3 most identify-able armour details, and do the rest with paint. I don't think it would take too many visual cues to recognize that character.
But yeah, you know what you're doing.

Do your milliput work before you prime . I also like to wash the figure before doing any milliput work . I always prime anything I do before painting

Welcome to the world of customs.
Don't give up. Just take a break, and come back to it later. I quite often have more than one custom on the go at a time. So I can take a break from one, if I need too.

That turned out great. It's always tough when working with a new substance like milliput.
