Potf Coins Vintage Vs. Restrikes
so i recently acquired a vintage restrike repro leia endor coin .
i dont know if other coin collectors own or are aware of these but they were done supposedly around 2007 (i think
) please correct me if im wrong
they are restrikes of the original coins from the vintage era . most people go by weight or thickness and while i dont have a scale that measures ounces its pretty obvious in hand
how much thicker the repro restrikes are .
ive taken pictures with droids , ewoks and star wars coins to show the difference .
just wanted to share pictures to help out .

Wow so it’s nearly double the thickness. I’m afraid to look at mine when I get home, I didn't even know these existed.

Thanks for the info Bill. I didn't know they did re-strikes either. The Leia Endor coin seems to be less shiny, than the Warok coin. Probably would mean a different metal mixture as well???

Very interesting, i'd heard of cast figures coming from the same moulds but not coins, I wonder if the moulds still exist somewhere, cool!
