It looks like we've got a new Star Wars podcast featuring some old, familiar voices! I know some people find it hard to get through the lengthy vintage-centric podcasts that we already subscribe to but personally, I find that I'm always looking for more. I look forward to checking this one out. Here's what they have to say about the show: "We follow the stories of our heroes and villains. We’re on a quest to know more, go deeper and make connections. We love Star Wars. We are Generation Skywalker." After an introductory episode, it looks like their first feature is on vintage die-cast.

We also have released our first full show today, a Vintage Roundtable
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Those Old Fossils : March 2020
Join Generation Skywalker on their first ever Vintage Roundtable.
The Skywalker team get together to discuss five topics attached to Vintage collecting. This month they ask, "why the hell do I collect these things?", before delving into Circus World and some special value yellow tape, which raises more questions than the team offers answers. Craig delves into the Chinese bootleg comic world of Lianhuanhua, he offers a fascinating look at this unrepresented area which runs beautifully alongside his blog post over on [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] As well as all this we also delve into the unproduced Sandspeeder and take a look at the wonderful imagination of the Imperial Commissary members as they dressed up as cardback art.
Enjoy the show!!!

New show out today with one of your own.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Generation Skywalker welcomes their very first ever guest, as Christopher James Leddy, one of the nicest guys in the universe joins Stuart to discuss collecting Hot Toys. A discussion which has since made Stuart order a couple of Hot Toys himself!
The interview follows the golden Generation Skywalker rule, five items that curate your collection, although Christopher was a little loose with the images he supplied as you hear! Chris tells us what Hot Toys are to him and why he collects the line, we discuss his own podcast channel - Sixth Scale Scavengers, and delve into his favourite items from his collection and what he's looking forward to that's coming out later this year.
Enjoy the show!

Generation Skywalker introduce the first of their monthly Modern Roundtable shows - The Modern Way.
Daniel Burgess joins Simon, Mark, Craig and Stuart to discuss a few topics that have been in discussion over the last few months. They chat about the sad end to the 5 p.o.a. line, where is best to purchase modern items in the UK, delve into the 5" line before looking at a selection of Mandalorian items that have either been released or announced.
Will Dan allow his child to open some modern figures? Will Mark allow himself to like anything modern? Will Stuart weaken and buy a Hot Toys? Listen in as the team all deal with their own modern issues.
Enjoy the show!

The last show with Chris Leddy was very interesting. The Hot Toys look fantastic and are very tempting. The K-SO looks absolutely awesome and very screen accurate.

***** YouTube Video Live *****
Helix Reborn : The Full Story
We're fortunate to have both Craig Spivey and Mark Daniels as part of the Generation Skywalker team.
In 2017 Helix released a 40th Anniversary Star Wars range to celebrate their line from back in 1977. This came about thanks to Craig, Mark and Grant Criddle.
This YouTube video takes you through the journey on how the 40th Anniversary range came to be, from connecting with Helix through a twitter post to the release of the 40th Anniversary range. But that is only half the story and half the journey, join Mark and Craig as they relive the whole entire tale including a Presentation on the collecting track at Celebration Europe in 2016 and presenting the same talk to ALL the Helix work force.
This is a tale of three fans passion and where it can lead.
Enjoy the Show!

To accompany the YouTube video of the 40th Helix Anniversary Range, Craig has also done a superb blog post which is crammed with information and pictures over on our website. Also includes a couple of videos which includes the recording of the Celebration panel.

***** NEW SHOW LIVE *****
Those Old Fossils - April 2020
Generation Skywalker return with their latest Vintage roundtable show - Those Old Fossils.
With everyone across the globe in different levels of lockdown, the team discuss various ways to spend your isolation involving Star Wars and most importantly collecting.
They look at the Palitoy Top 5 thread which ran over on the Star Wars Palitoy Facebook group where people showed off their five favourite Palitoy items, the conversation spirals off in all directions, including a look at a couple of Craig's childhood photos from Christmas and Halloween.
Talking of Palitoy, a beautiful collection containing mainly Palitoy items was sold recently by C&T Auctions, with the sale rooms closed the auction was online only, but the uncertainty of current day to day life didn't stop the items reach their potential. The group look at the auction and the results, and how well C&T did.
After a great blog post over on the Star Wars Collectors Archive by Ron Salvatore, the team look at the Argentinian Pepsi promotion and the items it included before moving onto Ron's article and the reproduction of the stickers from this promotion.
During lockdown we've seen some amazing collections show cased on Facebook, majority being from the States where space is more readily available, but the boys discuss displaying with limited space and making the most of the little space you have. This is an open ended topic as we will return to this in May, so please show us your collections and how you display when you don't have much space, do you have any inventive ways of displaying?
All this plus much more.
Enjoy the show.

That was a great show.
I don't have much to contribute to showing off my collection. Most of it is in storage until I finish my basement/office. I don't remember who was talking about working from home and their collection is in their home office. That is what I'm working towards.

THE MODERN WAY : APRIL 2020
The Modern Way returns a little late with the April edition.
This month we see that "I hate Modern" Mark, buys some modern and fancies more!
The boys give some loving to some of the toys Mark Boudreaux designed as he announces his retirement.
New York Toy Fair seems a lifetime ago, but we check out the announcements from there as well as further reveals from Hasbro since, Mark gives his honest opinion on the Carbonized Black Series Fett on the way, not sure he'll be investing in that one.
As well as all this we take a look at the second wave in the Retro line and we delve into General Grievous as we take a look at the range of figures that has been released for the cyborg.
All this plus much more on this months 'The Modern Way'.
Enjoy the Show!
