Re: Generation Skywalker Podcast
Thanks for the update Stuart.
I really enjoyed the last couple of episodes. It was great to hear Rich on the last episode, describing all the different books that came out.
Looking forward to listening to the next episode tomorrow, while at work.

THOSE OLD FOSSILS : EPISODE VI
The latest episode of 'Those Old Fossils' lands and what could be more fitting than a Halloween Special for Halloween.
Thinking about Halloween and scary stories... there’s an element of Star Wars that always puts Craig in mind of the famous HG Wells book (and subsequent movies adaptations) ‘The Island of Doctor Moreau’.
Written in 1896 its a very early science fiction horror story telling the tale of Edward Prendick who is shipwrecked, rescued by a passing boat and is left on the island home of Doctor Moreau, a mad scientist who creates human-like hybrid beings by experimenting on humans and animals.
But how does all that relate to Star Wars? Craig is thinking, of course, of George Lucas’s fascination in creating alien races by taking earth-bound animals and turning them into human-like beasts.
So looking at things in that (rather grim) context Craig thought it would be a bit of Halloween fun to explore this while reimagining Lucas as a mad scientist surrounded by his creations.
‘The Island of Dr Modesto’, if you will...
Enjoy the Show.

THE MODERN WAY : EPISODE VII
Hover Pram. That's the word of the month on 'The Modern Way'. Stuart, Craig, Mark and Dan are joined by founding Generation Skywalker member Grant Criddle as we welcome him back to hosting duties.
It's a Mandalorian and The Phantom Menace feast this month as the team delve into the latest update on the Haslab razor Crest, The Mandalorian Retro Collection line and many other announcements, majority of which surround the Mando.
The team then take a trip down memory lane as they celebrate The Phantom Menace trailer which was released 22 years ago this month, before reminiscing about the hype on the build up to the film as they talk early Episode One toy memories as well as delving into the Midnight Madness event.
All this plus the usual smatterings of toy indulgence.
Enjoy the Show.

Gift, What Gift?
Generation Skywalker kick off their festive schedule with a helpful guide for parents and partners, on buying those all important Star Wars presents.
Stuart, Craig, Dan and Mark, give you suggestions on items that are readily available this Christmas, where you can purchase them and what you'll expect to pay, and they've broken the guide down to five age ranges - Pre-school (up to 5), Primary (6-10), Teenage/Secondary (11-16) and Adult (17+).
They also look at the more creative gifts too as they delve into small independent businesses and there offerings, some of these items are beautiful and different, there really is something for everyone in our Christmas guide.
Enjoy the show. Oh and happy shopping.

THOSE OLD FOSSILS : Episode VII
Grant, Mark, Craig and Stuart settle down to discuss Vintage Star Wars, and focus on the state of the hobby at the end of a horrendous 2020.
With the pandemic hitting hard, unemployment on the rise, uncertainty to when all this will end, the team admit that they all thought the hobby would take a battering over the year, but how wrong they were as prices spiraled out of control.
The boys look back at some of the stand out auctions from 2020, from C&T Auctions early lockdown Palitoy heavy sale, through to the final ever Astons Auction, they delve into the highlights and also look at some of the insane prices certain items went for. They then discuss the price rise and ponder if the current price structure of these much loved toys is actually sustainable.
It's a hot topic that get's some great discussion flowing.
Enjoy the show.

Re: Generation Skywalker Podcast
Thank Stuart. I hope you and your family have a great Christmas and New Years.
I just finished (half) watching and listening to the holiday special enhanced version, while working.
I have one question. How much did you guys have to drink prior to watching it? I have to give it a 2 out of 10.
I fondly remember Harvey Korman on the Carol Burnett show, and the Muppets. This doesn't even come close.
