They would get a couple hundred thousand views before getting flagged and removed. Not sure I would do that now, but the reality is: the snake exists, and that's how it eats. Life eats life.
Thanks Chris. I was aware that it is legal in the US to feed off live rodents to reptiles, but didn't realise it was also legal in Canada.
Generally, in the UK it's not legal to feed off live rodents and to be honest with captive bred reptiles it is not neccessary. Even wild caught specimens can be weaned onto pre killed prey. I've also heard horror stories where uneaten live rodents left in the vivarium with no access to food have taken bites out of the reptiles they were offered to.

Re: Meet The Pets : Tell Us About Your Four Legged Friends : )
Youre right, they can certainly be trained into accepting pre-killed food but it feels the same as dogs and cats eating kibble. Pretty unnatural, but nicer/more convenient for the sensitivities of the owners. Helps people forget what their pets are actually eating.
I've heard some compelling arguments that people are more inclined to care about mammals for anthropomorphic reasons as opposed to fish and reptiles. Since they're harder to relate to. They don't care as much about the husbandry.
I had no idea feeding live food to reptile pets was illegal in the UK. Very interesting.

Here's Momma Pleco with a few of her babies from the earlier batch - they're about a inch long now and I've counted at least 32

I'm not sure if it's common but they have already had another batch

they are about a 1/2 " and I've counted at least 30 of them
I never intended to get into fish breeding

Wow hes got a postmortem twin, and the scale looks almost perfect lol
Took this shot of the rare and expensive zebra pleco at a local fish store last week, $200 for one of those little suckers and a chill on the way home could kill it.

I was just there buying some plants. I've known the owner for a while so he lets me invade with a bit of photo/video gear now and then.

Very nice! Surprising that he puts up with the headgear lol
I left a tripod case alone for 5 minutes and she climbed it. Kinda looks like she needs a bath.

Re-scaped my Oscar tank, it's still a little murky but I'm liking the natural look.
They're a bit too violent for live plants, but the driftwood and almond leafs release some natural tannins in the water, while lowering the PH to something closer to the fish's natural Amazonian environment.
I moved the tank to the other side of the apartment so it was a good time to refresh the look. That's 48" wide, 90gal.

Looking good Chris. I'm a big fan of 'natural' aquarium set ups.
I was given a small aquarium last week which I'm planning to plant with Cryptocorenes and once matured, gradually stock with SE Asian community fish & some shrimps.
